Burkert 8742
Type 8742 mass flow controller / mass flow meter for gases is intended for use in an industrial network using büS or CANopen buses. The büS technology, based on the physical principles of CAN, was specifically developed by Bürkert for industrial Ethernet networks and fieldbus communications for applications with multiple control loops.
In combination with a control unit (SCU, System Control Unit) type ME2X, communication via CANopen communication protocol is transmitted to the customer’s field bus. The mass flow controller (MFC) / mass flow meter (MFM) communication mode can be switched from büS to CANopen at any time. Thus, type 8742 can be integrated into existing CANopen networks.
If necessary, type 8742 can be configured as a mass flow meter (MFM) or mass flow controller (MFC). On request, calibration for two different gases is possible. The MEMS temperature sensor, located directly in the gas stream, provides quick response.
