The Switch Amplifier from Pepperl+Fuchs is engineered to facilitate safe signal transmission in intrinsically safe applications. This device serves as an isolated barrier that effectively separates the potentially explosive environments from the control and monitoring systems. With its 24 V DC supply powered through a Power Rail, the amplifier is compatible with a wide range of industrial setups, ensuring robust performance.
This product features two passive transistor outputs and can operate in a reversible mode, making it versatile for various configurations. The built-in line fault detection (LFD) enhances operational reliability by signaling any faults in the connected circuit, ensuring safety and compliance with stringent industrial standards. With a compact housing width of 12.5 mm, it is well-suited for space-constrained environments while maintaining high performance levels, achieving up to SIL 2 according to IEC 61508 standards.
