Optical sensors - through-beam sensors with adjustment and "check" input
The "test" function is intended to determine the operability of the optical receiver, or the influence of other emitters on the receiver.
When a positive voltage is applied to the test input of the emitter, the generation of light pulses stops. The receiver must react to this and transfer its outputs to the opposite logical state. If this does not happen, then either the receiver is faulty, or it is in the beam of another emitter.
