Burkert Type 8312

Burkert 8312 is used to measure relative or absolute pressure (on request) in spherical and liquid media. Two measurement methods are available: metal thin film strain gauge and thick film ceramic strain gauge. Both have different characteristics. The device digitizes the pressure value and makes it available for use via CANopen. digital communication interface (CAN slave). This device offers a digital CANopen interface instead of an analog one, allowing bi-directional data transfer, i.e. with a CAN/Ethernet gateway or directly to a PLC equipped with a CAN interface.

CAN devices can also be connected to the Burkert buS digital communication interface. The driver used to communicate and configure the 8312 is integrated into the Burkert PC Communicator and is available on our website. Several useful auxiliary functions are implemented via the device profile of the DS 404.
