Eltra ERF150 Incremental Linear Encoder.
Eltra linear encoders are used to measure linear movements of an object. This applies to determining its position, speed, acceleration and other parameters. In any case, only linear movement will be measured.
In general, the device consists of a direct encoding block and a special magnetic strip, onto which magnets are applied in a certain sequence. In this case, the scanning area includes special built-in magnetic resistor sensors that measure the absolute or relative position of objects.
Thanks to the protected housing, such encoders can be used in different media – liquid and gaseous, solid and granular.
Non-contact measurements are most often used, so the parts of the device do not wear out and can last for a long time.
