The SMART Transmitter Power Supply, Output Current Sink is an advanced solution designed for safe and efficient power management of SMART transmitters and current sources. This isolated barrier supports 24 V DC supply and features a current sink output ranging from 0/4 mA to 20 mA.
This product family consists of 1-channel isolated barriers that are engineered to provide reliable power to 2-wire and 3-wire SMART transmitters, as well as 2-wire SMART current sources. With a robust design, these barriers ensure safe integration into process control systems, particularly in hazardous environments where intrinsic safety is paramount.
Common applications include use in industrial automation and process control, where precise and safe measurement of parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow is required. The output current sink allows for seamless communication with connected devices while maintaining compliance with safety standards, achieving up to SIL 2 according to IEC 61508.
