The AS-Interface Gateway/Safety Monitor is a critical component for industrial automation, facilitating seamless communication between various devices within an AS-Interface network. This product is designed to enhance operational safety and efficiency by integrating a safety monitor with an AS-Interface gateway, allowing for a simplified architecture in complex systems.
Commonly utilized in manufacturing and process automation, this device supports up to two AS-Interface networks and features two safe output relays and two safe electronic outputs, ensuring reliable safety functionality. The unit is certified up to SIL 3 according to IEC 61508 and EN 62061, as well as up to PLe according to EN 13849, making it suitable for applications that require high safety integrity levels. Additionally, the integrated switch allows for line topology, while DLR technology enables flexible ring topology configurations.
